The membership needs to make a recommendation regarding whether or not we should go to arbitration. Lois Parker made a motion to recommend taking the grievance to arbitration, Ivy Dumas seconded. Motion passed. 2. Negotiations: Almost down to only $$ items. Still have to take care of some housekeeping items. Pam Durand passed out a spreadsheet that she had done to show all the different contracts in the district and what they received. Tom explained the spreadsheet. The district is clearly holding single paid health insurance hostage. We were told that there was 2% available total package. District’s offer of fully paid and steps comes to 1.79%. Next meeting December 12th. We will file for mediation after Dec. 12th meeting if no movement. The Negotiation Committee could be in mediation for months. Committee feels strike training is in order. Need to be in mediation for 45 days before we can file for strike. Membership would have to vote to authorize a strike.
Old Business: None
New Business: None
Motion to adjourn was made at 5:46 p.m. by Ivy Dumas and seconded by Lois Parker. Motion passed, meeting adjourned.
Respectfully submitted, Pam Durand, Secretary
